If you are visiting Sydney for the first time, then you must arrange your trip before coming over. Finding the best accommodation will help you in making your Sydney holiday a success. Let St. Mary's Cathedral inspire and humble you. It features a famous crypt with a mosaic floor containing scenes from the Creation. This is only open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so if you plan on seeing the mosaic, then better visit the cathedral at least few hours before closing time.

Historic Places

The Government House was once the home of the New South Wales governor. This historic landmark features colonial architecture and beautiful art collections. The gardens around the house are also open for the public.

The Rocks area is full of colonial churches and architecture. This was where the great Captain Arthur Phillip created his settlement in Sydney.

Wildlife and Marine Zoos

The Sydney Aquarium is perhaps another spot that the tourist visiting Sydney for the first time should visit. Large glass tunnels meander inside the water tanks to allow the tourists to see the different marine species swim around the gigantic aquarium.

Featherdale Wildlife Park is the place to go if you want to see some genuine Australian wildlife. A huge collection of native Australian animals is housed in this zoo.

Another great place to consider is the Koala Park Sanctuary, which will allow you to see one of Australia's endemic species. Guides will help you spot a koala, so keep your eyes open.

Walks

Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk will allow you an awesome view of Sydney and the surrounding waters. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is also one of the most famous landmarks of the city.

Darling Harbour Walk is great for strolling and relaxation. Tourists can also watch concerts aboard the pontoons that float in the harbour.

Beaches

If you want to relax on the beach and listen to the surf, then visit the beaches around Sydney. Surfing, scuba diving, and other water sports are popular in the beaches.
